We strive to be the premier and trusted source in Bulgaria for fine and rare wines. You will not find our wines in the supermarket or in your local grocery store. We offer a carefully selected inventory of fine wines from all over the world, with an emphasis in wines from France, Spain, Italy, California and Australia. Our selection includes the best of new releases, along with rare wines with impeccable credentials sourced from private cellars.
We provide individuals, corporations, restauranteurs, and other retailers with hard-to-find, high quality wines for both immediate consumption and for cellaring. We acquire our wines from an extensive network of private collectors and sellers of fine wines throughout the world. Our pricing is based on the value and availability of the wines we offer. Fine and rare wines are a constantly depleting resource, making reacquisition increasingly difficult.
When we select our wines we consider carefully the vintage, the reputation of the winemaker, the availability of the wine on the market and the value it provides at current prices. We carry only wines with outstanding and exceptional ratings (90-100) as published by the world’s most reputable and reliable wine rating houses:
Wine Spectator Ratings. With over 12,000 wines to try each year, Wine Spectator relies on a team of editors, each with regional specializations. All wines are tasted blind in their category, so editors know the region or grape variety they are tasting, but not the producer or price. Wines are only unveiled after scores are noted. The tasting panel at Wine Spectator rate wines on the 100-point scale with the final score denoting the wine's overall quality.
Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate. Parker's Wine Advocate is a bi-monthly publication that rates wines from around the world. With no advertising or sponsors, the Advocate publishes its ratings in a stapled journal with a focus on a few different regions each issue. Scores and notes are written by Robert Parker or by one of his tasting associates, depending on the region.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar. Stephen Tanzer is an acclaimed and wine journalist and critic. HisInternational Wine Cellar, an independent bi-monthly journal, rates and reviews wine from around the world. Along with ratings, the journal publishes vintage analyses, regional updates on wine regions and interviews with wine industry leaders.
The final step in our selection process (and the one we enjoy the most) is tasting the wines ourselves. We add our own tasting notes and recommendations and are passionate about the satisfaction of our clients. We hope you enjoy our private selection of fine and rare wines either as a guest or as a member of our FineWineBG Club.
